Abstract

In September and October 2016, Environmental Services, Inc., (ESI) conducted a cultural resource assessment survey of West and East Keller Tracts located in Chatham County, Georgia for Roberts Properties, Inc. (Figures 1.1); please note the location map is a composite of two different USGS maps created in the 1960s and 1970s. The tracts total 760-acres, of which 408-acres consist of uplands and the remaining includes very poorly drained wetland formations. The tracts are bound on the west by Little Neck Road, on the south by US-17/Ogeechee Road, the north by Interstate-95, and on the east by the Little Ogeechee River. This investigation was conducted in anticipation of complying with requirements from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) and the State of Georgia, Department of Natural Resources during the land development permitting process. Fieldwork was conducted by Greg Gonzalez, Robert Lundin, and under the direction Joshua Newman and Brent Handley. Brent Handley also served as Principal Investigator for the survey.
