Named after the Cat Cave Creek site, 9Cy28, in Clay County, Georgia, excavated by Arthur Kelly and colleagues.

Sorting Criteria

Roughened pottery. Not sure how this is made, but legend has it that it is by corncob. The type was never formally defined, and is simply mentioned in the brief report.

Geographical Range
Lower Chattahoochee River valley.
Chronological Range
Late Woodland, Late Weeden Island period.
