Abstract

Between August 4 and 11, 1980, Archaeological Research Associates, Inc. conducted a cultural resources survey at portions of the Albany Dougherty County Airport. A literature search ensued for information on local history, ethnohistory, prehistory and environment. Modification and/or construction are scheduled at the airport which could impact any archaeological material present. Aboriginal materials were widespread within the impact zone, and some areas represent concentrated human activity. The recommendation is that archaeological testing should be initiated prior to the construction at the Albany Dougherty County Airport.
