Cultural Resource Management Plan Flint River Hydroelectric Generating Station

The Georgia Power Company (hereinafter "GPC" or "the Licensee" ) as licensee for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (hereinafter 1 "FERC" -) on the Flint River Hydroelectric Generating Project - Ferc Project NO. 1218, has conducted and/or has caused to be conducted X ) cultural resource inventory and/or assessment studies at the project(s) noted above. These studies were undertaken preparatory to the development of additional public recreation facilities at this project. This plan discusses and/or summarizes these studies as well as other pertinent matters relate to the management of the cultural resources and/or resource manifestations discussed hereinafter. Also, this plan discusses and/or summarizes the actions taken to date by the Licensee as well as those actions that will be taken in the future by the Licensee in regard to the management of those resources discussed hereinafter. The Licensee recognizes that this plan may become part of the license(s) and/or permit(s) applicable to the project noted above as issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Further, the Licensee recognizes that this plan must be considered in all future land use management planning and/or other actions which might involve the use of those lands within the boundaries of the cultural properties discussed in this plan, or properties which might later be added to this plan. This plan CONTAINS information related to the specific location of significant cultural properties and therefore, May Not Be Distributed on Any Basis Other than the Pursuance of Regulatory Compliance And/or the Implementation -Administration of this Plan. Distribution for research purposes requires application to and the prior approval of cultural resource management staff for the Licensee.
