Abstract

On May 11 and 12, 1982, a cultural resource survey was conducted on 200 acres of U.S. Forest Service land located in Habersham County near Clarkesville. This portion of land is involved in the proposed Cleveland, Lovell, Tipton Exchange. Field reconnaissance and subsurface testing located a heavily disturbed 20th century house site and three stone piles within the survey boundaries. This site will not effect the land exchange proposal.
