The goal of my ten week internship at Wormsloe Historic Site was to conduct a surface survey, to map and identify any archaeologically significant features that may have been associated with the Noble Jones occupation of the Skidaway Narrows area on the Isle of Hope. Previous archaeological investigation and documentary research fall short in providing necessary data for a complete interpretive presentation the 18th century complex. Therefore, it is hoped that another archaeological survey will help supply this information. Thus, project is preliminary to a long term archaeological program.
