Abstract

This report presents the results of an archaeological survey along Georgia State Route 21 between Millen (in Jenkins County) and Sylvania (in Screven County). The survey corridor was 15.1 miles long and 30 meters in width. State Route 21 is to be widened along the corridor. Brockington and Associates, Inc., of Atlanta conducted the survey in March 1993 for the Georgia Department of Transportation [Project EDS-565(7)]. Two prehistoric sites, seven historic sites, and three isolated finds were identified in the corridor. All of these sites are recommended as ineligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
