Abstract

Since 1987, Mobile District archeologists Ernie Seckinger and Jerry Nielsen have conducted historic resources assessments and survey at Carters Lake, Georgia in preparation for a Historic Properties Management Plan (HPMP). In 1988, we coordinated this process with the Georgia State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO). The results of that coordination included a remote sensing survey of the Footes Mill Site, historic resource survey of two floodplain areas and an area with potential for rockshelters. This report documents our findings of those actions.
