Abstract

On June 13, 1991, Steve G. Gilbert, staff archeologist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, conducted cultural resource surveys for the General Officer Quarters, New Base Commissary, Child Development Center, Tactical Equipment Shop, and Battalion C & C at Hunter Army Airfield, Chatham County, Savannah, Georgia (Figure 1). No cultural resources were recorded during the surveys. Because no cultural resources considered eligible for inclusion on the National Register will be affected by the proposed development, it is recommended that a determination be made that completion of these proposed projects will have "No Effect", in compliance with 36 CFR Part 800 and the National Historic Preservation Act.
