Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of five proposed bridge improvements in Coweta County on July 8, 1996. The parameters of the archaeological survey were 1,000 feet on each side of the five bridges, 2,000 feet total, and 60 feet on each side of the current centerline of the road, 120 feet total. A pedestrian survey designed to identify archaeological sites was also conducted at each bridge site. No archaeological sites were identified within the five areas of possible impact, therefore no further archaeological work is recommended in these areas.
