Abstract

Originally, a temporary detour bridge was to be erected adjacent to the existing bridge; however, it has since been determined that a temporary bridge is not feasible. Consequently, a permanent bridge would now be built west of the existing bridge. The permanent shift in the alignment would extend project termini about hundred feet beyond the termini estimated for the temporary bridge. The purpose of this revision is to provide an updated project length based on the most recent design metrics. As currently planned, the total proposed project length would be 3940 feet from beginning to ending station. Based on the plans, this would include a proposed bridge length of 448 feet. The proposed project would extend 1787.5 feet south of the bridge and 1704.5 feet north of the bridge (1787.5 + 448 + 1704.5 = 3940). Existing right-of-way is 80-100 feet. With the new bridge, additional right-of-way and/or easements would be needed on the west side of SR 36. This should not exceed 80 feet beyond the existing right-of-way, with the maximum amount being taken at the bridge itself.
