Abstract

A cultural resources survey was conducted along the shoreline of an existing, approximately eight acre, reservoir in southeastern Cherokee County, Georgia. If the water level is raised by 2.3 ft, as planned, then approximately eight more acres will be inundated. No archeological or historic sites were found within the area to be flooded. Because no sites are present, the project will not affect any significant cultural resources and should be allowed to proceed.
