Abstract

Construction of a bridge on SR 25/US 17 to provide a grade separation between the roadway and a Georgia Ports Authority railroad track on Colonels Island. Project was surveyed in January 2002 and no cultural resources were recorded. Since the original survey the total length of the project has increased by .553 miles (addition of paint striping in the road), and a temporary detour has shifted to the west by 12 - 15 m. Twenty-seven negative shovel tests were excavated along this area in 2002.
