Fort Mountain State Park in Murray County proposes construction of a trail that will begin near the park entrance, descend over 1000' down the slope and follow Bearpen Branch to the confluence of Bearpen Branch and Rock Creek (Figure 1), where the trail will join the existing Pinholti Trail. A portion of the trail lies on State Park property; most of the trail is on National Forest. The park has been coordinating trail planning with the Forest Service and Trail Association, and the route has been flagged in the field.
