Abstract

On January 10, 2006 the Georgia Department of Transportation conducted a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey at the request of the Georgia Division of Natural Resources. Data were collected in two grids at the Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation Historic Site (Figure 1). One grid was placed in the vicinity of the original Main House and one grid was placed in Petersville Cemetery. The grid collected at the main house yielded two potential cultural anomalies. The grid collected in the cemetery yielded seven anomalies that are most likely unmarked graves.
