Abstract

Second Addendum to Phase I Archaeological Survey of CR 107/Howell Bridge Road Over Sharp Mountain Creek, Cherokee County, Georgia. The proposed project would replace the existing bridge over Sharp Mountain Creek with a new 200-foot long and 38-foot wide bridge on new alignment located to the north, but adjacent to the existing bridge. The approaches would consist of two 12-foot lanes with seven-foot rural shoulders on 62 feet of right-of-way plus easements. Guardrail along both sides of the bridge approaches would also be provided. The design speed limit would remain at 35 mph. This roadway would be closed during construction and traffic would be detoured. Cherokee County would be responsible for the signing and maintenance of the detour routes. The APE for the project includes everything within the proposed construction project length and within the maximum extent of the existing and required right-of-way as described above.
