Abstract

Original: The proposed project is an intersection improvement project in Cherokee County at Holly Street and Hickory Road in Holly Springs, Georgia. The purpose of this project is to realign approximately 700 feet of Holly Street to intersect Holly Springs Parkway at Hickory Road. The existing roadway consists of two 12-foot travel lanes with variable width grass shoulders and right-of-way width varying from 30-50 feet. The proposed typical section would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes separated by a painted median and 8-foot shoulders with both left and right turning lanes. The proposed project would require 50-72 feet of additional right-of-way at the new location Holly Street and 10-30 feet of additional right-of-way for the Hickory Street Widening. The total project length is approximately 900 feet (0.17 mile). Please see attached sheet for addendum project changes. The APE for the project includes everything within the proposed construction project length and within the maximum extent of the existing and required right-of-way as described above.
