Abstract

Phase I Archaeological Survey of SR 98 at CR 286 and 536 in Jackson County, Georgia. The proposed project would improve the intersection of SR 98 at CR 286 and 536. SR 98 would be widened six feet to provide a left turn lane in both directions with a 12-foot auxiliary right turn lane. CR 286 would be widened 12 feet to the northwest to provide a left turn lane and CR 286 would be realigned with the existing through lane, King Road. CR 536 would be widened 12 feet to the northeast to provide a left turn lane and CR 536 would be realigned with the existing through lane, B. Wilson Road. The proposed project length would be approximately 2.23 miles. There were no sites recorded within a 1-km radius of the project area.
