Abstract

The proposed project is an enhancement and pedestrian improvement project that is a component of the revitalization master plan for central Snellville. Work under the project will include expansion and resurfacing of sidewalks on Oak Road, Clower Street, and Wisteria Drive to accommodate both pedestrians and bicyclists, addition of pedestrian traffic signalization and handicap ramps. Pedestrian-oriented amenities will be added, such as landscaping, benches, trash receptacles, lighting, information kiosk(s), and various signage improvements. The total project distance along Oak Road, Clower Street, and Wisteria Drive is approximately 2,250 feet (685.8 m). The Area of Potential Effect is described as the area of impact due to the streetscape improvements. The existing right-of-way along Oak Road of 62 feet (18.9 m) will be expanded to 69 feet (21.0 m) to accommodate the streetscape improvements. The existing right-of-way along Clower Street of 50 feet (15.2 m) and the existing right-of way along Wisteria Drive of 40 feet (12.2 m) will be expanded 80 feet (24.4 m) to accommodate the streetscape improvements.
