Abstract

TRC conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed Anneewakee Creek Greenway Trail Project in Douglas County, Georgia, near Powder Springs in May 2007. The project was undertaken for Bron Cleveland Associates, Inc. and the City of Douglasville. The project corridor consists of approximately 900 linear feet of trail corridor (estimated as 15 feet in width) that lies within a sewer easement along Anneewakee Creek. The archaeological survey was conducted on May 25, 2007. A review of the Georgia Archaeological Site File database showed that no archaeological sites had been reported in the project corridor, and no archaeological sites were discovered during the current survey. TRC recommends no further consideration of archaeological resources in advance of the proposed undertaking.
