Report Number

Abstract

The overall project proposes to widen and improve CR 451 /Memorial Park Drive from Centennial Drive to SR 369Browns Bridge Road and extend CR 451 /Memorial Park Drive on new location to SR 53/McEver Road. The project also includes widening and improving CR 301/Skelton Road from Shallowford Road to Meadowview Drive and extending CR 301/Skelton Road on new location to CR 451 / Memorial Park Drive Extension. CR 451 /Memorial Park Drive is proposed to have two lanes in each direction separated by a 20-foot wide raised median. CR 301/Skelton Road will also have two lanes in each direction but will have a 14-foot wide flush median, or two-way center left turn lane, to provide access to the numerous side streets along its length. A number of existing intersections will need to be reconfigured to provide adequate turn lanes and storage capacity for the design year traffic. It is anticipated that traffic will be maintained on the existing CR 301 / Skelton Road during its reconstruction. The subjects of this addendum report are the proposed new location segments, which have changed since the time of the original survey conducted by New South Associates (NSA). Specifically, these are the Skelton Road proposed new location from its point of divergence at Pleasant Cir. to its intersection with the proposed new location of Memorial Park Drive. Memorial Park Drive new location was also reexamined because it differs somewhat from the alignment originally proposed. Proposed new location will require right-of-way and construction easements ranging from about 80 feet to 250 feet.
