Abstract

At the request of Jordan, Jones, & Goulding (JJG), archival research and an archeological reconnaissance was conducted by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., on a 519 acre tract on which a reservoir for Oconee County might be constructed. The primary goal of that work was to determine if the tract contained cemeteries or significant archeological sites that would be impacted by the reservoir project. There are no historic period structures presently listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the immediate vicinity of the tract.
