Abstract

The proposed project would consist of the replacement of the structurally deficient 272-foot bridge constructed in 1964 and located on CR 536/Zoar Road over Big Satilla Creek six miles west of the city limits of Baxley, Georgia. The project proposes to construct a new 400-foot x 35.25-foot parallel structure on the north side of the existing bridge. The proposed bridge would include two 12-foot travel lanes with 10-foot shoulders. Traffic will be maintained on an offsite detour. Existing right-of-way varies from 80 feet. Proposed right-of-way is approximately 80 feet.
