Abstract

The proposed project would consist of the widening and reconstruction of SR 56/Mike Padgett Highway from Doug Bernard Parkway to Old Waynesboro Road in Richmond County (see attached Figure 1). The existing SR 56/Mike Padgett Highway is a four-lane roadway with no existing median. The proposed project would consist of the construction of a 14-foot flush center median and shoulder improvements for an approximate distance of three miles. The existing four-lane road has a right-of-way width that varies from 100' to 130' and the proposed right-of-way width would vary from 185' to 200'.
