The proposed project would begin at the 1-75 bridge over SR 155 and would end approximately 600 feet north of the 1-75 southbound off ramp to SR 138 (Stockbridge Hwy) just at the Henry/Clayton County line, for a total length of 12.24 miles. This project no longer includes improvements to the Walt Stephens Bridge and Flippen Road Bridge, which are covered under a different project (see comments below). The proposed project includes the following: construct two new lanes, one in each direction, from within the existing 1-75 median, separated by a barrier, and designated as HOT lanes; no additional right-of-way would be required.
