Abstract

The present report covers a program of more intensive archeological investigations at 9EB76 and 9EB348, including systematic surface collection, machine stripping of the plow zone on sample units, and hand excavation as required by the presence of features and/or artifact concentrations. The scope of work developed here is based primarily on the assessment made by TRC after initial subsurface testing. As field work progressed, the investigation strategy was altered considerably because of unanticipated cultural components on 9EB76. The relative scarcity of stratified materials on 9EB348 also contributed to a refocusing of the research design.
