Abstract

ln compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project FR-068-1(23), Tattnall County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. The project involves the widening of U.S. 25 and 301 (S.R. 73) from mile post 0.8 north to mile post 1.8 north of Glennville. The project will follow the existing corridor. A 200 foot corridor was surveyed for the project length.
