Pool Road at Mobley Creek Emergency Repairs

Abstract

This project consisted of the emergency repair of the flood damaged portion of Pool Road where it crosses over Mobley Creek (Figure 1 ). Specifically, the project consisted of the removal of 86 feet by 13 feet of cracked pavement and the reconstruction of the roadway, which included the installation of graded aggregate base (GAB), asphalt binder, and topping. In addition, an existing GAB patch was removed and 74-foot by 13-foot area was paved with asphalt binder and topping (Figure 2). New striping and guardrails were installed. All work was completed by March 24, 2010 and took place within the existing 70-foot right-of-way.
