Report Abstracts

On behalf of the Georgia Transmission Corporation, New South Associates (NSA) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed route of the Hubbard Town 115kV Transmission Line located in Dawson and Forsyth Counties, Georgia (Figure l ).

Between April 27 - 29, 2004, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted an archeological testing program in Augusta, Georgia.

This letter presents the results of an archeological survey that Southeastern Archeological Services (SAS) conducted at a proposed new pole location on the above referenced transmission line in the town of Ellijay in Gilmer County.

To accommodate the expansion of an industrial park in southeastern Tifton, the Georgia Transmission Corporation plans to shift a 550-m (1,800-ft) long section of transmission line to the east.

This report presents the results of an intensive archeological survey performed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. in western Jackson County, where the Georgia Transmission Corporation wishes to construct the 115/25 kV Potters Crossing ALP substation.

It is the contention of a few individuals that two tracts of land in northwestern Cobb County that are part of the Leone Hall Price Estate (Figure 1) contain archeologically significant Civil War earthworks and/or graves of American Indians.

At your request, we conducted an intensive, Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed expansion of the existing Southwest 115.12kV Substation site on the outskirts of Warner Robbins in central Houston County.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., completed an archeological survey of a ca. 35 ac tract of land just south of Adel on which a proposed agricultural processing facility is to be constructed. The company proposing to construct the facility, Sanderson Farms, Inc.

This letter with attachments presents the results of a Phase I archeological survey that our firm conducted on a 4.7 acre tract of land in western Bulloch County on which the Georgia Transmission Corporation intends to construct the Register 115/25 kV substation (Map 1).

The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences owns 878 acres of woodland at its Griffin campus in Spalding County.
