The objective of this project was to conduct an archaeological survey of the areas to be impacted by construction of the proposed Utoy Creek Outfall Corridor in Atlanta, Georgia, under the provisions of a contract prepared on April 22, 1977.

On April 11 to 14, 1977, an on-site archeological survey was conducted along the proposed right-of-way of a portion of the City of Atlanta - Three Rivers Project, in the vicinity of Brown's Mill Park.

This report relates the results of an archaeological survey on an additional 14-78 acres at Hurricane Shoals Park in Jackson County, Georgia (Fig. 1). Hurricane Shoals is located on the North Oconee River approximately seven miles from the city of Jefferson, Georgia.
