In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments, thereto, project BRZLB-207(7), Monroe County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeolog1cal resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. The bridge over Eight Mile Creek on Gregory Road (Co. Rd. 172) will be replaced. A 100' corridor, following this existing alignment, was surveyed from the Co. Rd. 172/Co. Rd. 174 intersection west to approximately 500' west of the creek.
