BRF-097-1(7), Appling-Tattnall Counties. Georgia DOT project BRF-097-1(7), Appling-Tattnall Counties, involves the replacement of approaches to and existing bridges over the Altamaha River, Taylor Lake and a small slough on S.R. 144. Construction will be accomplished slightly east of the existing facilities on new location. However, the new location areas are within existing fill and no previously undisturbed areas will be impacted. Because the project will be constructed on existing fill with no impact to previously undisturbed areas an archaeological field inspection is not necessary. It may be concluded that the State's archaeological resources will not be affected by BRF-097-1(7).
