Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRF-027-2(8), Mil1er County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. The bridge over Big Drain Creek on U.S. 27/S.R. 1 will be replaced within the existing 100 feet of right-of-way. The project will begin approximately 1500 feet south of the existing bridge and will terminate 1000 feet north of that bridge.
