A field investigation was made on the above site by Randall Carr on August 22, 1995. This area is an old local material pit. Ross of Georgia Inc. is proposing to use this site for a soil cement plant and as a common fill site for excess material on the above project. Shovel tests for archaeological resources, as well as, investigation for wetlands and protected species were done. No indicators of wetland areas, cultural resources or protected species were identified during the field investigation and this office recommends the approval of the Folsom Common Fill Site. Attached for your information are appropriate maps indicating the area which we feel is adequate for common fill.
