The proposed project would begin from approximately 150m (492 ft) south of the North Fork Broad River to approximately 150m (492 ft) north of the North Fork Broad River. The proposed project would widen the existing bridge to 11.6m (38 ft) to match the existing typical section of two 3.6m (12 ft) travel lanes with shoulders widened to approximately 2.4 m. Traffic would be maintained during construction. Total project length would be .306km.
