Abstract

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the approximately 1.6 ha (4 act) proposed Stillmore Substation tract, in Emanuel and Candler Counties, Georgia, for Oglethorpe Power Corporation on 27 February, 1992. The tract is in mature pines affording little surface exposure. A total of 24 shovel tests were excavated on a 30 m grid across the tract. No cultural materials were recovered and no cultural resources will be impacted by construction of the substation. It is the recommendation of the Principal.
