Abstract

This report documents a literature and records search and archaeological survey undertaken on a site proposed for the expansion of Oglethorpe Power Corporation's North Marietta Substation in Marietta, Georgia. The investigations documented that no archaeological resources are present in the study area, although standing structures are present. An architectural survey conducted by Yaeger/Pyburn, Inc. of the study site indicated that development of the area began during World War II, and that none of the structures within the study area are more than 50 years old.
