Abstract

The client is proposing to construct a telecommunications project located near Georgia Highway 320 in the City of Toccoa, Franklin County, Georgia (Figure 1). The site is located north of Georgia Highway 320 at geographic coordinates: Latitude 34.444406, Longitude -83.325397 (UTM Zone 17S E286358, N3813885). The proposed tower will be situated within a 10,000-square foot lease area (Figure 2). A new 300-foot long by 30-foot wide access road and utility easement will also be constructed (Figure 3).

The client is proposing to construct a wireless telecommunications facility at the site. Based on the background research and field survey there are no archaeological or aboveground historic resources in the direct APE. Therefore, Terracon recommends a finding of no historic properties affected within the APE for direct effects.
