On April 30, 2021, Atlas Technical Consultants conducted an archaeological survey of Elmer Road right-of-way (ROW) within the 100-meter wetland impact area of a proposed Elmer Road stabilization in Wayne County, Georgia. Out of the 19 proposed shovel tests, 18 were excavated and 1 was omitted due to pavement. No artifacts were recovered from the shovel tests or from the surface and no archaeological features were visible in the project area.
