Abstract

This report presents the results of an archaeological survey of the residential development known as "The Thicket Plantation of Tolomato Phase I", which is located in McIntosh County, Georgia. Phase I of the development did not require an environmental impact permit, therefore this survey was not designed to meet the standards of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Rather, the purpose of this survey was to locate and identify important archaeological resources for the developers, Garris and Associates, Inc., who wanted to incorporate and preserve those resources, particularly Indian burial mounds.
