PBS & J plans to construct pedestrian and bicycle improvements on the north and the south sides of Lavista Road, extending 1.01 miles (1.63 km), from Northlake Parkway to Harobi Drive. The proposed improvements include a 6 feet (ft) [1.83 meters (m)] wide concrete sidewalk, new 30 inch (in) [76.2 centimeters (cm)] wide curbs and gutters (where needed) and streetscape improvements which will include decorative lighting, street furnishings, landscaping, and share the road signage. The proposed project will also include crosswalks, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant handicap ramps, and pedestrian crossing signals.
