Abstract

In June 2000, archaeologists and preservation planners with TRC Garrow Associates, Inc., conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey of approximately 88 acres in Fulton and Clayton counties, Georgia. The survey area is a former College Park residential neighborhood (circa 1950's) near Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport (HAIA) that was vacated as part of a previous buyout of the area for noise abatement purposes. No archaeological sites were identified during the survey. The historic structure survey did not identify any structures 50 years old or older in the project's Area of Potential Effects (APE). Cultural resource clearance to construct is recommended for the project area.
