Abstract

The proposed project consists of the removal of the Central of Georgia Railroad bridge over SR 29/US 441 south of Milledgeville and drainage improvements at two other locations in the city of Milledgeville. The existing right-of-way is approximately 18.3 m (60 ft). Additional right-of-way will vary from 6.1 m (20 ft) to 9.1 m (30 ft). An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted along the entire project corridor. No existing or eligible National Register archaeological resources were located within the project's area of potential environmental effect.
