The proposed project would consist of the paving of approximately 0.6 m (2 ft left and right) of the existing shoulders on SR 243. The project would begin approximately 99.06 m (325 ft) north of SR 18 Spur in Wilkinson County (MP 0.82) and end at the intersection of SR 29/US 441 in Baldwin County (MP 6.16). All construction will be limited to the existing shoulders. An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted along the approximately 19.2 km (11.93 mi) project corridor. No existing or eligible National Register archaeological resources were located within the project's area of potential environmental effect.
