Abstract

During July, August, and November 1983, a cultural resource survey was conducted on a total of 6,850 acres in the Chattahoochee National Forest in Rabun County, Georgia. The use of a non-probability survey design located eleven prehistoric and two historic sites in the survey area. Because of disturbances from logging roads, log landings and erosion, none of the sites require protection or further investigation. The project area is, therefore, considered cleared from impact to cultural resources.
