Liberty Road Bridge at Crawfish Creek Emergency Repairs

Abstract

This project consisted of the emergency repair of the flood damaged bridge on Liberty Road over Crawfish Creek (Figure 1). Major scouring occurred under the bridge and portions of rip rap and the endrow were washed out on both the east and west ends of the bridge. Fill was used to rebuild both endrows, which were then covered with 24 inches of rip rap (Figure 2). All work was completed by March 23, 2010 and it took place within the existing 80-foot right-of-way.
