Carroll County Water Authority has authorized TRC Garrow Associates, Inc. (TRC) to carry out archaeological data recovery excavations at two sites (9CL269 and 9CL270) in Carroll County, Georgia, located within the proposed pool of the H.C. (Hill) Seaton Reservoir. This document presents background information from previous work at the sites by West Georgia College (Harris and Richardson 1992), and TRC's proposed methods to excavate the sites as a means to mitigate the adverse effects of the flooding.
