Abstract

The project proposes to improve the existing drainage structures and drainage systems at specific points in the area on both SR 4/US 301 and SR 23/121, as well as on Maple Street and Robinson Street. Improvements will include replacing storm drain pipe, catch basins, gutters, drop inlets, and some possible outfall pipes. Project limits for SR 4/US 301 begin at Bay Street (CS 417) and end at Main Street (CS 462}, for a distance of approximately 2000 feet. Project limits for SR 23/121begin at Magnolia Street (CS 428) and end at Main Street (CS 462) for a distance of approximately 3200feet. Project limits for Maple Street begin at SR 4/US 301 and extend beyond 1st street to an existing ditch with the use of a drainage easement for a length of approximately 650 feet. Project limits for Robinson Street begin at SR 23/121 with the use of a drainage easement to Magnolia Street and continue west to Thrift Street, then extend beyond Thrift Street with the use of a drainage easement to an existing stream, for a total length of approximately 1300 feet. Work proposed along Maple Street would consist of replacing the existing double barrel 30 Inch pipes with a double barrel box culvert. Work proposed along Robinson Street would consist of replacing the existing 24 inch pipe with a 36 inch pipe. Anticipated required right-of-way (ROW) and/or construction easements would be approximately 10 to 15 feet beyond the existing ROW line.
