The project proposes to widen SR 16 from MP 8.3 to MP 9.17, Spring Street, at the western city limits of Monticello. The existing two-lane facility would be widened to three lanes to provide a two way left turn lane. CR 147/French Road will also be realigned across from CR 148/Pearsons Street to provide better sight distance. Changes to the project include shortening the project limits along SR 212 and CR 147/French Road, minimally increasing the size of two driveway easements, and adding one small demolition easement. The total length of the project along SR 16 is still 0.87 mile.
