Abstract

Project PR-8530(267) allows for the grading, drainage, base, and surfacing of the proposed John O. Parker Road off of SR 23/57 in the city of Reidsville, Georgia. Also included in this project are the additions of acceleration I deceleration lanes and run-around lanes on SR 23/57. The proposed project would begin at SR 23/57 in the Reidsville city limits and would end at the Reidsville Recreation Park. Existing right-of-way is equal to the existing road width, approximately 7.3 m (24 ft). Required right-of-way varies from approximately 18.3 m to 30.5 m (60 ft to 100 ft). An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted for the approximately 1.1 km (.71 mi) project corridor.
